Best Buy isn’t the Best Buy

Do not purchase from Best Buy. They do not think it is their responsibility to get you items that you ordered with in a reasonable amount of time nor will they give you a refund when that reasonable time as passed because their policy states that they don’t have to. I was told by a customer service supervisor that I should be willing to wait indefinitely and they had no responsibility to tell me when I would get this item. Don’t let this happen to you buy spending your money else where.

Society is way behind…

I just finished reading The Marvelous Land of Oz. A place where a boy can become a girl and then a Queen. A place where people are not judged based on their appearance or race and are accepted, even celebrated for being different. Written by L. Frank Baum… in 1904. This book should be required reading in every school.

Daughter

Did your daughter go down on desire
Exploring evening rhythms
Her tongue dancing over poetry
Haunting hands linger after the perfume of a blossoming flower
I but a prisoner in her deep velvet pool
Wet like liquid breath bathing bruised lips
Caramel cake and champagne on her belly
Delicious to devour blushed candy
Bleed my burning fever
As I die listening to her angelic voice

From the Heart

Shed a tear
For an unrelinquished fear
As long as it’s from the heart
Scream in the rain
For an unbearable pain
As long as it’s from the heart
Smile at the light
That the stars give at night
As long as it’s from the heart

I’ve seen a beautiful mountain before
But it’s different when I climb it with you
I’ve heard those lines a million times
But out of your mouth they ring true
I’m not looking for a picture
They fade away with time
As long as it’s from your heart
I’ll keep it close to mine

I’ve seen a lot of people go through the motions
But they’re just like pictures with time
In it just for the money
But they end up wasting their dime
Because there’s no easy tomorrow
And false motives will never get you through
As long as it comes from your heart
I’ll keep on loving you

The Night World

Slip into the night world
Where magic and dreams collide
Fantasy becomes reality
And dreams come alive
A place of unknown powers
Where majestical creatures exist
The world can change suddenly in the mystery of the mist

Come in search of wisdom
Get it before you get old
Find the sword of power
Then the world you’ll hold
But remember
For everything you take
You pay a price

The night world is a place for the strong
The weak don’t belong
For the week are feeble
And will live in fear
In fear of the sorcerer
Who cast spells in the night
In fear of the dark
For it will never grow light

Come into the night world
Come if you dare

Philosophical Questions

What do you do
When it’s trapped inside
Trying to escape
But it can’t find a way?
What do you do
When you don’t know how you feel and
And can’t find the words to relate?

Is it possible to love strongly
And hate deeply one person at the same time?
How can you decide
Whether to leave or stay
When all your emotions seem out of line?
What if you cry
With out knowing why?
Then turn around and grin
Are you ok then?

The sky is above me
And the ground is beneath my feet
But I’m standing at the bottom of the world
If I jump
Would I be going down or up?
The answers are coming , but when?

Is it that I try to hard to please you?
I don’t understand why
You push me away
And try to make me hat you
But my feelings grow
Then when I love you til I can’t stand it anymore
I hate you with all my heart
For making me feel that way

What if you cry
With out knowing why
Then turn around and grin
Are you okay then?

Soothsayer

Old senile man
No one listens to you anymore
Living history Man out of his time
Like some character in a play

Soothsayer
What do you see in the stars
Future seer
Tell me I’ll believe

You’re a living fantasy
Materialized out of a dream
Giving your warnings
In hope that they’ll listen
But they’re too insecure to see
That you tell no lies
Hide behind no disquise

Fools are blind
But I can see
Immortal man
You will live on inside of me

Soothsayer
What do you see in the stars
Tell me I’ll believe
What does the future hold for me

Take Me Away

I tried
Nobody knows how much I tried
I gave my life
I gave my time
I gave my hope
I tried

Take me away
Take me away
Oh take me away westward sun
I wanna go down when the day gets done
I’ve lived my life
I’ve gave my hope
Take me away

I was born a loser
But I’ve lived my life with pride
There was not a time when I didn’t try
Nobody knows how much I tried
They don’t know because they didn’t look
They only say my failures
That’s all it took
I was born a looser
But I’ve lived my life with pride

Take me away
Take me away
Oh take me away westward sun
I wanna go down when the day gets done
I’ve lived my life
I’ve gave my hope
Take me away

Never met my goals
But I tried
Came real close
I tried
I’ve lost in love
And lost in life
Gave my time
My hope
Never met my goals
But I tried

Thunder

Listen as it rolls across the sky
Like an angry lion
It roars
A volcano eruption
I’m smothering in the ash
And the fervent lava melts my soul

Mighty thunder
You make me quiver in my mortal home
Like a ghost form the past
You approach me unnoticed
Then with a sudden blast
You make my conscience known

Your brother lightning
Shows me things I don’t want to see
Fiends I locked away in my mind
When he leaves
My enlightened captives scream to be set free

Not a judge
Not a pardoner
But an avenger for the past

Crucial

Sad it is that we walk through life
Oblivious to other’s cares
We run on laughing
When someone’s happiness
Depends on us being there

The road we travel is so narrow
That it’s hard for us to turn around
We have to be careful drivers
Or we’ll run someone down
Unshared problems leave a dent
Larger that the tears they try to hide
But instead of stopping
We just crash into their side
Afraid of the friend we might find

We talk without knowing
And get caught up in the lies
But they’re the ones that get cut
Look closely and you can see
The pain in their eyes

When they cry, they cry alone
Without us there is no hope
When they laugh, we laugh along
Good friends are inseparable
As the beach and the sea

Love That’s Real

How far do you fall, do you fall
When you’re falling in love
How can you tell if it’s real
When you’re surrounded by a world of fantasy
I’m so lost
Don’t know where I’m going
Not sure of where I’ve been

I need someone who knows the answers
Someone in touch with reality
But I haven’t seen a soul on this god-forsaken road
I get the feeling I’m on my own

How can you tell what’s a lie
When you’ve never heard the truth
How do you know who to trust
When you live in a land of thieves
My life is dried of emotion
I’ve seen too many mirages of love
Lies of trust and blind devotion

I need someone with the answers
With the key to liberate my heart
Someone to teach me what I don’t know
And never let me go

Silence is Loudest at Night

Lightning, close to the ground
Nature’s noisy without a sound
Take the time to dream
Observe
What does it mean
Dream your dream
Be your dream
Fantasy parallels reality
Though it exists only in insecure minds
What were we doing last night
While I was sleeping on the other side of the world
So warm, so cold, for you to behold
For your….

Sound travels farther at night
Plane fly high
I hear it after it’s gone
Urban doen’t harmonize
With the rural night
Man that complains about loud rock noise
Turns his heaven up when he thinks no one is listening
In the night, even the deaf can hear clearly

Trees on the horizon
Are a giant army of giants
Silhouetted by red dusk
Fading to purple to black
Waiting for the long dead mage
To summon their life
To give them freedom

Cold bites the child
And sends her freezing

View at a Distance

I remember where I was sitting when I wrote this… Outside at night on a picnic table at my mom’s house under the stars and surrounded by the quite noise of insects and animals. I must have been about 19 or 20.

I walk alone onto the night’s black stage
No foundation, no horizon’s
The audience, just a billion of eyes
To far away for comprehension
Gaea’s choir sings my introduction
I the star of this fair little play
Surely there are those that shine brighter
But there is no curtain
And it is I that have been cast

Before the first move I have forgotten my line
Who do I address
The audience or the air
So far are the removed
That they can’t see the truth
A smile for fears, happiness is feigned
So alone do I feel
While I invent my next stanza

“ Where are you good people
That I long to touch?”
“We are here sweet child
And we miss you so much.”
But the words come from nothing
No one is near
They are but shadows
To far away to be real
They do not hear or see what I feel

“We have been here waiting
For with you we preform.
You should know to see
Look not with your eyes.
We will fill the loneliness inside.”
My eyes I shut to let my heart take a look
With me no mere actors
But the Goddess and the God
So struck with awe, I froze where I stood

“Take our hand beloved
We’ll make bright the next scene.”
But I turned to my audience
Their face I also had a wish to see.

But the space is too vast
And I who need room to breathe
Am left with nothing to grasp
But my own body
Else it also flees

“Dear child, they see not your thought
To them you are an actor
On a stage lost.
To them this is the story
Though one you need not tell.
Take our hand
Together a happy story we will make
You will never be alone
For you we will never forsake.”

Different Directions

Heartbreak and pain
Take some time to get over
Friends and lovers pass you by
As you get older
Never thought we’d grow apart
Now pain is growing in my heart
And it’s crying for you

As the minutes pass by
I think of our last good-bye
We had nothing more to say
The love we threw away
Gone forever

I’ll never find another
Friends like we were to each other
It’s a shame it had to end
But I guess we weren’t friends
Any longer

As I think of the time
That we last said good-bye
My heart grows a little sadder
And lonely inside

Maybe it was all for the best
Go and leave it at rest
Everything that is born has to die someday

As the minutes pass by
I think of our last good-bye
The love we had thrown away
Gone forever

For You

In memory of Lesli Perrin Moore Aug 3, 1973 – Jan 29, 1989

There are tears in my eyes
As your dream starts to die
And there’s nothing I can do
I felt as though
It was my dream too

Do stars really fall from the sky?
Do childhood heroes really die?
Is it part of some plan?
Life, I’ll never understand

It’s hard for me to stand here
I know there’s nothing I can do
To bring you back to life
But time passed
I had to realize that you weren’t coming back
But there are things
That I just can’t let go
Now it’s too late
And it breaks my heart

Do stars really fall from the sky?
Do childhood heroes really die?
Is it part of some plan?
Life, I’ll never understand

The twinkle in your eyes
And the spirit
While you were alive
Set my life
But in my tears
And in my heart
You still remain
We’ll never part

But I am wondering…
Do stars really fall from the sky?
Do childhood heroes really die?
Is it part of some plan?
Life, I’ll never understand

No, I guess we’ll never understand
Where we go when we leave this land
One thing I know for sure
Is what my feelings are for
Till we meet again
At heaven’s door
I love you
